Fall is in the air! The crisp wind, cool mornings, and overcast skies are finally here. While fall isn’t my favorite season, fall fashion is totally where it’s at. So what better way to incorporate fall pieces into my cute teacher outfits?
Some of my favorite fall 2022 looks are more trendy, while others are a collection of staples. I like to mix a bit of both into my teacher outfits. However, I’m not spending a whole lot of money on clothes each season. That’s right, I can find fashionable pieces, well above my price point, for way less!
Enter the magical system called Nuuly. Nuuly is a clothing rental subscription that I adore! I’ve been using them for 1.5 years and am still loving them. I first chatted about Nuuly over here in my spring outfits for teachers blog post. Six months after that post and I’m still using Nuuly for the trendiest pieces while staying within my budget.
How Nuuly Works
Nuuly is a clothing rental subscription where you pick 6 pieces of clothing that get shipped to your house. You are in control meaning you pick what pieces you get and what sizes you want. There are tons of reviews on style and fit so you can pick the size that will work for you. Then you wear them as often as you want in that month. When you are ready for a change, mail the box back and pick out new pieces.

Nuuly is perfect for everything and every type of event. I had 3 weddings this fall and I used Nuuly to rent beautiful dresses. But mostly I wear my rentals for cute teacher outfits.
Cute teacher outfits: Lots of Layers
The secret to creating more outfits for fall is adding layers. Whether it is a jacket, cardigan, blazer, or sweater, adding layers creates a more cozy look. Layering is also perfect for teaching in classrooms where the temperature isn’t very controlled…
Add a Jacket
This outfit is pretty simple, just a pair of jeans, a super soft sweater, and my trusty green jacket. Sometimes, cute teacher outfits just need to be basic and simple. Perfect for a Friday.

Layer It
Inspired by the two-fer top I rented, I decided to take this neutral sweater and layer a denim shirt underneath. I like the preppy look it gives while still being casual and not too put tight.

Fall for Fashion
This dress was so cute to rent. I wore it a few times on the weekend but I wanted to try it for school. The back is pretty open so I slipped on a cardigan and paired it with some tights and my trusty Docs.

Oversized Blazers
This is a more trendy look right now but I love it. This blazer makes cute teacher outfits and is pretty versatile. In this look, I paired it with a simple black tee and black jeans. I always feel like a teacher in plaid, and what better fall outfit idea than incorporating a common fall pattern into the mix?

Outfit Ideas Fall Sweaters
This tan cashmere sweater was my most worn piece out of my Nuuly box this month. It was so versatile, and warm, and the color was spot on for fall activities. I tried to wear it in different ways each time I put it on so I wouldn’t get bored. This piece was a fast favorite. I almost bought it, which is an option when renting from Nuuly. Keeping it Simple
Pair the sweater with jeans and a fun pair of sneakers. Simple but perfect for running errands!

Outfits for Fall: Joggers
I love the army green color of these joggers and the silky fabric elevates the look. Slip on a pair of patterned ballet flats and head to brunch, or into the classroom to actually teach 😉

Fall Outfits with Skirts
Fall outfits with skirts are my love language. I end up wearing skirts so much more in the fall and winter than I do in the spring. I think it’s just something about tights and boots that make skirts more appealing.
Cute Teacher Outfits: All the Basics
What’s more basic than a black skirt, black tights, and black boots? I’m not totally sure but I added a neutral sweater to keep with the basics theme.

Cute teacher outfits: skater skirt
This skirt stole my heart and I knew that I had to rent it! I loved how it looked with this tan sweater and brown booties. Very fall-inspired.
